Glaze Results

Some new grill cooks with my brand new plate! We tried to grill a steak in the first one. and then blackened fish in the second. It is super easy and fast to get these done. Becoming a huge fan of grilling as a result.

I actually did not have any glaze results this month. It's been a busy month of summer activities! Most of my potting time went into quick throwing/trimming sessions. I also have a busy couple months of work and travel coming up so I just needed a lot of bisqued pieces at home to have a way to take breaks from everything else.

Throwing and Trimming

I finished up my bag of Bmix from last month, made some more random shapes with it!

One goal I had from this month was to make some ghost luminaires for halloween I know, I know... halloween prep in AUGUST?? but I am busy next month and I need atleast 3-4 weeks of prep T-T.

As soon as I finished up the Bmix bag of clay a new kind of Porcelain clay showed up in the studio. This one is called "English Grolleg 6"; so fancy. It also pricier than the other porcelain available so I am really curious how it compares with the previous porcelain I have used.

I think this clay felt super nice to throw, I had no troubles with it. I could already tell during the throwing phase that the finish on this clay is going to be super soft. Excited to see how this clay behaves!

I threw another ring dish in this clay. For ring dishes I realized it is better to just have the thrown piece to require no trimming, It doesn't need a fancy foot anyway and it prevents any warping. Now with the new clay it is going to feel even better!
