Glaze Results

Another month full of greate glaze results! I have reached a point to start taking requests from friends. My goal of being able to set up markets is getting closer!

My vase from last month turned out AMAZING. Such a huge fan of the Klamanth + Shadow Green combo. It goes so well with my Money Plant!

My underglaze result also looks really nice! I'm actually not a fan of the throw quality, it's too heavy. The black bled a bit from the clear glaze, even when I did the extra firing. More reason to leave these underglazes uncoated!

Now for some results from the new Oregon Brown clay. It reacts really really well to bright colors AND dark colors. Love how these Chai mugs turned out with the Mehndi+Mandana designs. Will definitely be making more with that style.

Took some turnaround videos of the glaze tests. Literally every glaze looks good on this clay. Amazing

Also finally glazed my larger Speckled clay. Finally decided to just do a grid of colors I know i like over honey flux. I'm super happy with this one too!

Glaze Prep

This is me trying out a new style inspired by designs taught to me by my grandmas while growing up!

Throwing and Trimming

I threw a BIG POT. Used a forth of the clay back to make it. Super happy with the size! Hopefully, It makes it to the end.

Finished up the oregon clay with some more pots after understanding how much it shrinks (its a lot).

Then got a new bag of porcelain. I think I am slowly getting a better hang of porcelain. The biggest mistake I made with my last batch was not waiting long enough for the clay to dry + trying to speed up the drying process. porcelain does not respond well to fast drying, just starts cracking like crazy.
